Floral water decal nails

Another water decal nail art! These floral water decals are cute and vintage feel and they are super easy to apply.

Cut out your desired decal and place it in water for about 10 secs. Remove it from the water and gently move the decal and it shall move about. Pick it with a tweezers and place it on your nail! Be creative as to how you place them on your nails! Finish with a fast drying top coat.

I used by "That's what i mint!" by  Essence and by "Celeb City" by Sally Hansen for this manicure.

You can get this nail decal and other pretty nail products at bornprettystore.com. Use coupon code "LVX31" for 10% off your total bill!

Sunflower Nails

Very easy and cute Sunflower nailart! I used Essence "Tommy's Favourite Green" as the base colour and the sunflowers were painted using acrylic paint. I'm in love with this green! It's the perfect shade of dark green. Anyway, have a great weekend!

Simple Aztec Nails

Here's a very simple Aztec nailart. Just draw tiny triangles! I used Essence "I'm so very" and "Little miss sunrise". The pattern was drawn using acrylic paint.

Purple glitter gradient

I have been really busy these days! Sorry for not posting much. Here's a very simple purple glitter gradient nails. I used Essence Ballarina's Charm & The Faceshop PP409.

Vertical chevron nails

It's chevron nails again! This time I did vertical chevrons instead of horizontal ones which I think is pretty cool too! I cut little chevron stripes using a patterned art scissor and sticker labels. Labels work better than scotch tape cuz its easier to cut.

I used China Glaze "For Audrey", Essence "L.O.L" and OPI "Designer... De Better" for this mani.

Ombre Net Nails

In love with this mani! I used Essie 'Fiji' and Essence 'Absolutely Blue' for the ombre/gradient and top it off with China Glaze 'Fairy Dust'. Use striping tape to make the net pattern before you sponge the colours on and remove them when you're done! Super easy!

I added small pearls to make them look even daintier!

Bikini Inspired Nails

I saw this beautiful bikini while reading my magazine and was totally inspired by it! I had to do them right away! It was really easy to do and I'm pretty happy with the results. :) Love this picture of my nails posing with the model. It makes the mani a lot more sense!

I use a black acrylic paint for the lines over white polish and the yellow is "Destination Sunshine" by Essence.

Despicable Me Nails

Despicable Me 2 is coming to theaters soon so here's my take on the super duper cute minion nails! Makes me happy just by looking at them! I felt like there's gonna be so much attention on my nails! =D

I use a random yellow polish from Elianto and the blue is 'Via Airmail' by Essence. The minions are painted using acrylic paint and grey & white nail polishes.

Star Wars Nails

Star War nails for #nailartmay challenge. This is my first time drawing a character and writing letters on my nails. It was difficult! I don't like how my letters came out :( it was supposed to be an outlined letter but it was a disaster so I fill them in. To be honest, I never watch Star Wars before but I do know there's this Yoda character in it hence I chose him! I don't know bout that but I think it does look like Shrek a little. LOL.

I used black polish by The Faceshop and Essence Modern Romance on my ring finger. The multi colour glitter is BR801 from The Faceshop. I love this glitter! The words and character was painted using acrylic paints.

Essence Home Sweet Home Nail Polish

I bought two nail polishes from the Essence Home Sweet Home collection since it launched in early April but I totally forgot about them! I got "Hot Fruit Punch" and "Berry Me Home". The colour shown in their advertisment is actually brighter than actual.
Credit to: Essence Cosmetics Singapore Facebook page

Here's the swatch for "Hot Fruit Punch". I love this colour! It gave me zero problem and its so shiny on it's own. This is taken without top coat and with 2 coats of nail polish. It's a dark maroon purplish colour. The consistency is great and it can be a one-coater.

Then there's "Barry Me Home". Its a dark berry red, burgundy kind of colour but under sunlight it looked actually like red! I don't fancy this nail polish as much as "Hot Fruit Punch". First of all, I prefer the colour in "Hot Fruit Punch". Secondly, this polish gave me bubbles! You can see tiny bubbles in the photo below. I had two coats on.

Then I decided to top it off with this XXXL Shine Gel-Look top coat I just bought (instead of the usual Seche Vite). I have been looking for alternatives to Seche Vite because I heard its harmful to us due to the chemicals in it.

It looked much better! Bubbles were lesser and it was super shiny! But it does drag a little bit. Make sure to put lots of the top coat on the brush before you brush on your nails.

BUT!!!! Horror happened. It took a long time to dry and it totally messed up my nails! More bubbles appeared and I had marks and finger prints all over.

Taken under sunlight
I don't have these problems with Seche Vite. So now I guess I'll have to stick with Seche Vite despite the chemicals in it because it really is an amazing top coat!

Retro waves nails

This retro waves nailart was inspired by @lucysstash's nails I saw on instagram many weeks ago. When I saw them I knew I gotta do my version of it! So after much procastination, here's my take on this retro nails.

I used Essence "Hot Fruit Punch" (from the Home Sweet Home collection) as my base colour, Essence " Absolutely Blue" and China Glaze "Something Sweet".

Colour hearts (OOTD Nails)

Day 16 of #nailartapr challenge is to match OOTD! I'm wearing this cute dress with lots of hearts on it so here's my nails to match my OOTD. It's so fun doing manicure that matches your outfit! Oh yes, I filed down my nails cuz I felt it was too long and was afraid it might broke anytime!

I used OPI Hot & Spicy on my index & pinky, and also for the hearts. The other two colour used for the hearts are Essence L.O.L and Essence Wanna Say Hello.

Blue Gradient/Ombre Nails

So I have to do gradient/ombre nails for Day 13 of #nailartapr, and what's better to do then blue nails since its Autism Awareness month? I really like how this turned out. I don't normally wear blue nails but this kinda remind me of snow, like Christmas!

I used 3 shades of blue - Faceshop BL601, Essence Absolutely Blue and Essence Via Airmail. I topped it off with China Glaze Fairy Dust (always work so good with ombre nails!) and Seche Vite top coat.

Purple Sparkles

Loving the purple/gold holo glitter polish from Color Combos! Problems with such polishes (faceshop, other korean brands etc) is that they don't have a name like OPI, China Glaze, Essie etc did. Names are easier to remember and more funky!

Anyways, I used Essence Ballerina's Charm as base colour and the holo gliiter is Color Combos CMT301. I added silver hex glitter to better define the "waves", if you can tell. LOL.

Flowers

Frankly speaking, I had no idea what flower I was going to draw and I just randomly picked out some colours. I don't even think they'd match! So I start to doodle and got this finished product! I'm pretty glad with my colour selections! And man, this is an easy nailart to do and looks really pretty!

I noticed that most of the times I do floral nails that are sweet and girly tone of colours, so I decided to go a little bit different and chose the brown family as my base colour. These are the colours that I don't usually reach out for but I can see myself wearing this again.

Here's the nail polishes that I used to create this nailart:
Left to right: OPI Suzi's Hungary Again!, China Glaze Something Sweet, Faceshop GR502, Essence L.O.L, Essence Cookie Love and Essence Wanna Say Hello.
Oh, I layered China Glaze Fairy Dust on top of Essence Wanna Say Hello (index & pinky).

Tulips Nail

This nailart feels so SPRING! Do you know tulips are my favourite flower? My bf always got that for me on our anniversary. ❤❤❤

This is also for Instagram #nailartmar challenge, Floral. I didn't want to do roses again cuz I just did for the vintage theme so I did tulips! I use Essence Modern Romance as my base colour, Faceshop PP402 for the tulips, Faceshop GR502 & Essence Exits On Your Right for the leaves.

Tape Mani

It's so fun creating manicures using striping tapes! There are many types of tape mani around and I can't wait to try them out. I painted my nails four vertical stripes of different colours then I place the striping tape over them once they are dry and paint over another colour. After that, peel of the tape! That's it! You can definitely create many different lines or patterns instead of the three stripes that I did.

Here's the nail polishes I used :
Base stripes -  Faceshop GR502, OPI Dim Sum Plum, Faceshop BL602 & Essence Destination Sunshine
Top colours - Nature Republic BK004 & Sally Hansen Celeb City

Rilakkuma Nails

I attempted to do Rilakkuma nails for the first time. Rilakkuma is a popular bear character from Japan. Well, I have to say it's a fail. :( My Rilakkuma doesn't look like one at all! But at least, it looked like a bear (I hope). Anyway I think its still pretty cute. =D

I used Essence Destination Sunshine as the base colour and painted the bear with acrylic paints.

St. Patrick's Day Nails

It's St. Patrick's Day today! This day is celebrated mostly by the Irish hence the Ireland flag! You can't miss out shamrock on this day too!

This is what I used:
Flag - OPI Mermaid's Tears, China Glaze White on White and China Glaze Papaya Punch.
Index & Pinky - Essence Exits on Your Right (chevron tip), OPI Mermaid's Tears (Shamrock), Sally Hansen Golden-I and China Glaze Fairy Dust.

Triangle Trios

This triangle trios nailart is cool and easy to do. Had a hard time picking out colour combinations but I settled with these - OPI Suzi's Hungary Again! as base colour, China Glaze Concrete Catwalk and Essence L.O.L for the triangles.
